Mexico City

A concrete guestroom was set on the rooftop terrace of an existing 1950´s house in El Pedregal suburb, Mexico City . The house had been already renovated in the 1990's . In those years the coatings and paint were replaced by baked red clay . This small concrete box was designed and built in 2007 this guestroom with a tiny bathroom was connected to a former extension of the house that suggests a small upstairs independent department surrounded by avocado trees. Later an open shed made of scrap branches was incorporated to cover an outdoor terrace .
